We hope that all of you had a blessed Thanksgiving! We had a wonderful day! We began our day by serving lunch at a food ministry in Henderson, NC. The children handed out silverware and served soft drinks. What an opportunity to serve others! Zach, who is normally our VERY quiet one around strangers, was asking the guests what they would like to drink and getting refills - he did an awesome job! Andy also had the chance to play the piano for the folks to enjoy as they ate their wonderful Thanksgiving feast. We were able to meet folks from all walks of life, and I (Lisa) was able to pray with a lady named Regina about some really tough things going on in her life. What a blessing to be able to be involved in the lives of those folks, if just for an afternoon. Afterwards, we came home and began to prepare our dinner. Everything was so yummy! During dinner, David, the kids and I read scripture showing Thanksgiving to our Awesome God! We have been so blessed this year - David's studies are going well, the children are healthy, God is providing for ALL of our needs, we have been able to return to homeschooling...the list goes on and on! It is always amazing to me how God chooses to bless my family and me, even when we sometimes fail to obey and serve Him! God is SO good!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures - the one on the bottom is of our feast at home, and the picture on the top is of some of the children who helped serve lunch - they are taking a break from all of their hard work!
