Back From the Outer Banks!

Today, we returned from a camping trip to Rodanthe, in the Outer Banks. We had a GREAT time! We really enjoyed some time together to relax, play, swim, burn, etc.! Some of the highlights of the trip:

-seeing a performance of The Lost Colony on Roanoke Island

-watching Zach boogie board on the beach (I think we have a future Olympian!)

-climbing Cape Hatteras lighthouse (largest lighthouse in the US - equivalent to 12 stories high!)

-RUNNING to our car in the ferry lane to catch the ferry from Hatteras to Ocracoke (we were shopping when it began loading - thought we had plenty of time!!!)

-watching Maggie net some crabs in the campground pond
-helping Andy choose the PERFECT souvenirs from the trip
