An Apple a Day....

This weekend, we had the opportunity to visit our home church in Roanoke, VA. David shared with the congregation about his June mission trip to Paris. It was a great weekend - we had the opportunity to catch up with family and friends, and were able to enjoy one of our family traditions ...apple picking! We have gone to the same orchard since Andy was small. "The Apple Barn" in Troutville, VA is a wonderful place to visit! We love to pick (too many!) apples, buy some fresh apple butter, and have our annual "Apple Barn" gazebo picture made! Last year, we were unable to get there, so this year was especially exciting! We were even blessed to have some dear friends join us! We picked 47 pounds of apples, all of which are laying on my counter right now, waiting for me to do something with them! I suppose we will have apple cake, applesauce, apple pie, apple butter, .... If you need some apples, let me know! I can help you out!!
